Together with our clients Neil and Sally Pemberton we designed their moduLog pod which is to be used as for family holiday accommodation in the Cotswolds.
The pod was to have a separated bedroom which would have a double bed and a single bunk with reading lights above each bed plus our standard LED lighting in the ceiling. Also in the bedroom we built an oak window which also doubles up as a fire escape.
The design also had to include a shower room which included a toilet, sink and a corner shower with heated towel rail. This fitted in with ease and also had an oak window letting in plenty of light.
The lounge area of the pod had to be big enough to house a sofa bed, log burner, there is plenty of room for all this as well as a kitchen unit and dining table.
The kitchen unit with oak worktop has 2 large storage cupboards, sink, hob and built in fridge.
This glamping pod is connected to the mains electric and hot water is provided by a water heater under the sink. There is also apple and sky t.v. connected to the pod, so it has all the comfort of home.
Sitting in the pod looking through the 2 sets of handmade oak French door you can see the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds and even when the weather is at its worst you can still enjoy the view through the large double glazing.
On sunnier days we have installed a deck area for outdoor living. This pod also comes fitted with a porch where muddy boots and coats can be taken off before entering the pod and treading on the hardwiring oak flooring.
ModuLog pods don’t have to be as big as the Pemberton but the same quality and finish is the same whatever the size and design you have.
This design included our unique split log cladding on the roof and log effect on the rear wall.
This was the first design of this bespoke moduLog pod and we have named this design after its new owners, if you would like to design your own unique glamping pod, garden room or home office give us a call.
