It’s been a while since our last blog as we’ve been busy designing and building moduLogs for a range of uses, be it a glamping pod, fishing hut, summer house or garden room the moduLog can be used for just about anything.
Our latest moduLog built was for a customer in Buckinghamshire to be use as a suburban garden office and chill out room.
The design was totally bespoke as the client wanted two half glazed modules with handmade oak windows and a module with handmade oak French doors in the front. Also we made and installed an oak round porthole window in one of the side panels.
We had a slight obstacle on site as we were restricted to access to the garden being less than a metre wide. This was easily overcome as the moduLog was made and delivered in a flat back kit.
On a sunny Monday morning we set off with everything packed into a box van and headed for Aylesbury.
We arrived around 3pm and by 6:30pm the base was assembled, the walls and roof sections all up, the oak windows and doors in and the pod watertight.
Next day the insulation was installed, the external cladding fix, electric lights and sockets in and made a start on the internal cladding.
Day 3 we finished off the internal cladding, fitted the oak flooring, tested the electrics, cleaned up and it was time for home.
The client was going to use the moduLog as a garden office for writing his novels in the daytime and then use it as his man cave when he’s not busy working. We also made a fold down oak table to finish off inside.
So if you need a garden office, man cave, chill out room or anything you can think of we can build you moduLog that can do the lot.
