Rodent proof mesh.
With the weather turning colder and the holiday season drawing to a close unoccupied glamping pods can be a welcome home to our furry friends.
Most glamping pods consist of a layer of timber cladding, an air void, a single layer of breathable but not totally waterproof membrane then the insulation and internal structure. This can be an ideal habitat for rodents.
If rodents do find a way inside your camping pod or garden office, they can cause a great deal of damage to your walls and wiring which is not just costly but also a fire hazard. Even more worryingly they have also been known to transmit a harmful disease.
Mice in the United States and a couple of cases in the U.K. have been known to transmit Hantaviruses, which is a very serious respiratory disease in many cases it has been fatal. The virus is transmitted through mouse urine, droppings and saliva.
The moduLog is protected from any such vermin by completely covering the exterior shell and floor with a rodent proof mesh. Rodents are unable to gnaw through the steel mesh as it damages their gums and the mesh we use is designed to stop mice, rats and squirrels.
We have built the moduLog to not only be used in all seasons but also to withstand any such rodent infestation.
With the 100mm of sheep wool insulation, layer of multi-foil insulation, breathable membrane, waterproof rubber liner, stainless steel mesh and cladding the moduLog will keep you cool in summer, warm in winter, dry in rain and free of any unwanted guests.
